I wish I could have been there today to spend this day with you all, but I just couldn't make it happen. I was however able to watch the service and listen to the beautiful words everyone shared about Uncle Dick. I always loved the stories my Dad would share about all the hijinx they would find themselves in as kids. Had I been there in person, I would have loved to share this about him. Tthe man by whom I measure all other men, my father, held his big brother Dick in higher esteem than probably anyone else he knew. That alone is testament to how wonderful of a human being Dick was. Much of that likely stemmed from how he cared for his family, and Aunt Ruby in particular. If I can live my life half as fully and honorfully as those two men, I'll have done all I can. Thank you God for the time you gave us with him, and good luck keeping him out of trouble up there.
